News from your publisher. They finally let me out of the hospital. However, it was about 2 weeks later than I expected. Because of that we will be restarting the Report on August 1, 2010. I sent letters to all subscribers yesterday saying we would be moving for one issue to resolve technical issues but as you can see they have been resolved and we will proceed as normal for August 1.

Thanks to the many of you who sent me your fond wishes for my recovery while I was in the hospital. I really appreciate it.

Thanks Again for your Patience,

Bill Barrett

Welcome to the Non-Traditional Legal Careers Report. Here you will find hundreds of examples of how to use your law degree somewhere other than in a law firm.

Published every two weeks, the Report publishes real positions for J.D.'s in non-law firm settings. Each week we feature positions in Business, Education, Government, the Judiciary, Legal Publishing, Policy, Law Libraries and Public Interest. We also include International Positions in each issue.

It is an ideal place to learn about options as well as to consider real jobs in non-traditional settings. Over 90 law schools currently subscribe to the Report and the on line version is available as a subscription service. Archived editions will remain available as resource to attorneys and law students considering non-traditional options.

If you are looking for a Non-Traditional Legal Position, we encourage you to check with your law school career services office. They may already subscribe and can give you access to the current editions of the Report. If your law school does not subscribe, individual subscriptions are available at a cost of $40 for three months. Just send a check and mention the Non-Traditional Legal Careers Report to Career Education Institutes, PO Box 11171, Winston-Salem, NC 27116. Make sure to include your email address so we can send you individual access codes.

We hope you will enjoy this resource and utilize it to consider where you might use your law degree. We welcome comments and feel to email them to us at CEIBill@worldnet.att.net.
